I remember I always share this phase with my friends when he/she is feeling down, 'Expect the unexpected'.

I think 99.9% of my friends upon hearing this will either give a huge sigh or shaking their head! It may sound helpless and depressing as it is but it is not. Depending on how the way you look at thing. Sometimes if you look at a different perspective, the outcome will be different.

In life, I believe that you may have came across some things that caught you unexpected. It could be problems, it could be people or any infinite possibilities that have caught you unexpected.

The world is always evolving and future are uncertain. My teacher taught me that we had to embrace changes, be flexible, be adaptive and always stay positive in order to survive. She once said 'A mind is like a parachute; it works best when it is open'. I know it is easy to say than done.

Yes it is tough, even myself admit that. There are time when I bound to fallen into the lowest point of life but it is temporary, not permanent. I also know that every time I fallen, it takes even a longer time to recover and climb back. But I believe there is no storm that last forever but behind every storm, there lies the warmth sun and colourful rainbow awaiting.

I found this phase very inspiring and meaningful by Dr Tony Tan, 'Future is uncertain, it is not something to be feared. It is something to be shaped.'

Don't see me as I am strong and great, I had tonnes of weakness and I am neither superman or robot, I am just a human being! There are times I need my friends and family to remind me that I am just a human being and don't take everything into heart and tomorrow will be a better place. So there's goes for you too. Expect the expected and cheer up! =)

I just got my result today, although I am still quite far away from getting 2nd lower but at least all of my modules are cleared. Hurray!!!

I still have 3 more semesters before I graduated so I had to work triply hard for it. To be honest, university is really tough.

There is always a saying, hard work doesn't guarantee success but without it, we won't achieve what we want. But in university, hard work alone won't bring us further ahead, we still need to have passion, faith, determination, flexibly, initiative, innovative and endurance. And sadly, there are the qualities that I am lacking. These are essential qualities that are useful in our daily life too.

Although computer science is not my area of interest but I still had to endure and embrace it with an open mind. If I keep whining about my wrong choice of selection, it won't help me much either. I must overcome it, grab the degree cert and leap into next higher level.

Well back to topic, just right after my exam I meet up with my secondary close friends to celebrate my buddy, Junwei's Birthday at Orchard ION in Paradise Dynasty and also time to stay relax and enjoy my holiday!

This buddy of mine, although he is very quiet and shy but he is one who always lend a good listening ear whenever he is free. Chatting with him, at time made me feel that how huge the problems may seems small. And maybe he understands my situation much better than anyone and never jump into conclusion, I always felt much better to chat with him on complicated stuffs. And best, our thinking and hobbies are almost the same! Hahaha..

Working in a group with 7 people is never easy and especially project that is relatively technical-based. We had to develop a mobile game on Window 7 with such a short period of time, with a new workframe that we had never learnt before and also had to take part in competition. Our group mentality are not as competitively as other groups, we simply just wanna get over it.

For this project, we were split into 2 groups, majority are in the development team while minority are in the quality group. I was in the quality team.

Because of this project, most of my teammates had to code like hell, had been so stress up and countless conflicts between and within team. One of my teammates was so stress up that had a little argument with his family. It is unhealthy.

Even I am not in development team who contribute most to the projects development, I had to spend an average 12hr in school daily and I hardly had air to breath. With such heavy workloads and I also felt lost most of the times during this semester, there are time that I don't even feel like coming to school, I chose to skip school instead. It was the worst semester that I had gone through so far and hopefully will be the last one.

We did screw up a lot during the phase of delivering the project and also during the presentation demo but lucky it is all over.

And from this project, I had learnt a lot about myself, well not so much on technical skills aspect. If I had chance, I will discussed further in other blog entries.

Our team is lucky enough that it didn't break us and there is nothing more I could ask for already. Thank you god!

Just right after my birthday celebration, it is time for my buddy, Bao Song's birthday celebration.

It is amazing that we all had come these far. I had known them for almost 12 years, from the day we know each other in secondary school till today. I seem to me that everyone had grown up and each of them are engaging with their own path of future.

Deep inside, I had a mixture of happiness and sadness. I felt sad is because we no longer like the way we are in secondary school before, everyone will so carefree, we had so much free time and will always sneak out after school nearby to eat, playing computer games together, chit chat anything under the sun, staying overnight at someone place or doing crazy stuffs. One of the best moments that I ever had, and I will never forget about it.

Everyone gotta grow up someday and start having their own ideas and goals in life. And this is where everyone will start busying with their own stuffs. And that is the begin of lesser gathering, chit chat, sms and etc. Although we had less gathering or even might be lesser in the future, but they never fail to forget our friendship and our birthday. No matter how busy they are, they do make me feel that we are not forgotten and that's a wonderful and blessing thing. I do hope our friendship will get stronger.

Seeing my group of buddies, each of them had grow up progressively sometimes make me wonder.. Wondering am I growing up too? I should also seriously start looking into my future and embrace myself into it. Not always sitting in my comfort zone and passing each day aimlessly. I gotta learnt to be more stronger, have faith and confident in myself.

We held the birthday celebration at Serenity Spanish Bar Restaurant at Vivocity. This place shouldn't be unfamiliar to me but yet feel unfamiliar. Haha.. It's a long story. To sum up, this place is the first time I treated a girl for dinner for Valentine Day.

The food here is delicious. And you guys had to experience it yourself.

Wow, I just realised I have not been blogging for couple of months. For my blog viewers, I am sorry that I had kept you all waiting.

Honestly, I can't say 100% is because of my commitment to school hectic schedule but no doubt, partial of it came from there. But majority came from little inspiration to blog. Everything seems uncertain and stormy for me, it felt like I had fallen deep and shrink myself, unable to bring out my best, drifting aimlessly day by day. But hey no worries, storm may seem long and dark but there is always bright and warmth sun behind every storm!

Wow, I can't believe I am 25 this year. It is almost a quarter of century. Time really flies and I am growing older and hopefully I am wiser and mature too.

I got to know this song called 'Need You Now' from Ikhsan and I edited the lyrics and wrote something like this on msn, asking Ken for his opinion.

After exam, as most of the students are enjoying their holiday.. We had to stay back in school for a week to finish our CIDP module..

I bet many of the students complaining about coming back on Christmas eve to finish the project but to me I think, it is one in the lifetimes to have buddies working together on such occasion..

And I also do get Christmas blessing not only from my group but also from other project groups.. Warmth felt feeling.. And added to my surprises, our lecturer who was not tasked to come, but came all the way from home, just to give us chocolate for our Christmas gift!! It is not that bad right?

On the last day of CIDP, where I had to present the project!! We all almost had a heart attack experience.. Starting of demo, our website didn't work!! All of us panicked!! If you will on the spot, you could see our horrendous expression!! It really very funny!!!

While we will on the verge to be mark as fail, luckily we able to detect that there was no internet connection.. Haha..

And from there onwards, everything was smooth.. We are able to present everything as we wanted.. Seriously, it is one of my best projects yet and the most funny too..

I believe my buddies will felt that too.. An heart attack and funny experiences that we will never forget about it!!!

路途中正要买午餐时，雨水一滴一滴的从天落下来，我望着一片黑漆漆的天，今天又下起雨了。

以前的我一定会埋怨，好好的天气被雨给破坏了，所以一直都没有好好欣赏雨的景色。但如今，也许我经历了太多，每当下起雨时，心中不免有些伤感！于是我会停下脚步，闭上眼晴，面向天空，好好的聆听雨声，没人的时候，我会举起右手让雨滴打在我手掌里。因为这雨中带有一点一点的思念。

有人说，雨水, 代表有人在膜的地方哭泣着，有人说是上天感动而在哭泣着, 也有人说是代表一个人的思念。

雨好像我生命中的一部分，有代表我的伤心或思念，但每个雨后都是阳光普照的！雨水也带来不少欢乐，有的同学在雨中玩，满脸都是笑容，树木和花草在雨水中而再次焕发生机，如果幸运的话还可以看到五颜六色的彩虹。无论如何，雨后终会是晴天。

不妨下一次，下雨时，以不同的角度看看雨中和聆听它的思念声。欣赏雨中的美景！

Wow.. This is my first time I received Royce chocolate.. And even better, it is my favourite favour, dark chocolate..

Yoz guys and gals, I am finally back! I am sorry to keep you guys waiting.

Wow, it almost 2 months since I last blog. Within this, 2 short months, there are a lot of things happened. Right now there are a lot of things running through my head but I don't know where to start and how to pin it down into words.

Let me used the "Top down approach" technique that I learnt from my course, where dividing big problem into smaller subpart.

I will break down into 4 categories that related to me for the past 2 months (Note: in NO particular order of important)

1) Work and study

Working part time during the night and studying full time during the day are never meant to be easy. I am confident that I could juggle it well like many others. Imagine if I could overcome it, it will be one of my greatest achievements in life. I could become more financial self-independent, helping my parents lessen their burden and be a good role model in the family. Well, I had high expectation from my dad and bro!

Sadly, my confident level and thoughts started to wobble when I realised that Year 2 academic are even more hectic and stressful. Project scope are wider and lot of time and effort are needed.

There are couple of time I am unable to attend for project meeting and can't contribute much. Lucky my team are very understandable.

What I am most afraid of was that I am the weakness member in team with limited IT and programming knowledge, a lot of things I am not sure and eventually my confident level dropped drastically. It even lead me wondering, what I am actually good at and questioning my own abilities. Do I have what it take to be in Computer Science?

After much thoughts, I am quitting my job by the end of Oct and giving myself full focus on studies and projects.

2) Family and friends bonding

When I started working and studying, I realised my free time are shorter. I had lesser time to spent with family and friends. This lead me to the important of family and friends bonding. I made an effort at least once a week when I am free, I will go down visit my mum with my sister. Even it is just a simple lunch or dinner, the time spent with her make me feel that no matter how tough the world is, there is always a place where I can be love and care for.

And for my own close group of friends, I didn't do enough. It is kinda saddening, but I will do better the next time after I sorted things out. Maybe it is time for me to step up as the organizer and planned for activities. I used to be the one but somehow stopped for years. I rested enough already should put into some good use right?

One thing I had learnt from the lesson, when I am sick, it is not work or study that will take care of me but rather it is my friends and family will be there for me. Study and work are important but I must never neglect my family and friends!

3) Friends problems

I used to be a very good listener and probably of one those whom friends will approach me when they have problems. But now I felt that I am like a very bad listener and a very bad friend.

Lately, I had couple of friends having some relationship problems. Some break up with their love one whom they are together for years, some having cold war with best friends forever and things seem getting out of hand and can't re-wind things back. Listening to all their problems and woes, sometime I do not know how to help them or offer any advices. I felt lost with them too at time. And at time when I am really busy, I couldn't give them 100% full attention to them, this make me feel even bad.

No matter what it is, I hope they will be doing fine and better. It is because there will be shine after every dark storm.

4) Purpose of life

They say that without a purpose in life, you are like a lost soul.

It is like drifting aimlessly in the ocean. There are time when I felt lifeless, unmotivated, unproductive, not much enthusiasm in anything I do. Everything seems to be very routine until something happened. By the time it will be too late, I don't want that to happen. So what is the purpose of life? Love, relationship, friendship, kinship or career? Maybe it is a bit of everything. Whatever it is, live to the fullest everyday. It may sound easy but difficult to achieve! So keep trying until you achieved! =)

终于到了新加坡樟宜国际机场！看见熟悉的面孔，似曾相识的告示牌，此刻的心情当然是高兴与感谢（感谢上天让我能平平安安回国，哈哈）。嘴上没有说但是心里已经喊出了一句 “新加坡，我回来了！！！”

我赶紧去提我的行李箱，然后乘坐德士回家！

回家的途中，我望着窗外，看见繁忙的交通，绿油油的大树，熊高高的住屋，熟悉的咖啡店，不同种族的行人，我意识到我终于回家了！！！心里此时此刻真是高兴和期待啊！好想念我的家人和朋友！！！

我也直到现在才领悟到新加坡这么美这么干净，交通又发达，以前都没有好好的去欣赏！真是俗语说的好“生在福中不知福”，我也要到外去体会过后才领悟！！还是自己的家乡的月亮最圆！

住屋与人行道都挂着新加坡国旗，增添了节日气氛！原来我国的生日（八月九日）快要到了！这个美丽的花园城市，我以你为荣！新加坡，生日快乐！新加坡，我爱你！！！

好不容易等到了这一天，看着手表，一分一秒的过去，目的地就在眼前！望着窗外，湛蓝的天，雪白的云和灿烂的阳光，真是一幅醉人的图画。

这时脑海里有那么一丝依依不舍，但心里还是十分兴奋的。

回想起三个月前，我跟着好友一起来到美国，如今，独自乘坐飞机先回国！时间过得好快，不知不觉我的美国之旅就告一段落了！

在美国有许许多多的回忆，也经历了风风雨雨，起伏跌宕！但是我过得十分充实！不止是体验到了最纯正的美国文化，更懂得了如何去珍惜所有，学会独立，自信也随之增强。而且我更了解了自己！最大的收获当然是解释了许多海外朋友，我可说好友遍天下！

往者不可谏,来者犹可追！不如珍惜现在，开开心心过好每一天！人生路就是一段接着一段的精彩！大家一起加油加油！！！

My last 2 days in US, we went to Shenandoah caverns, Baltimore and American Museum of Natural History..

American Museum of Natural History is one of the largest museum I ever seen.. It is really an eye-opener experience for me.. It has more than 50 exhibition hall.. One full day to cover the whole museum seen never enough!!

OH MY!!!!! It had been few weeks since we last saw them..

THEM??? Yes!! THEM are referring to Sha, May Ling, Desi and Anna!! They had went over to Ocean Oasis, another water theme park in Morey's Pier for lifeguarding..

There are half of our lifeguards that went to another water theme park and we seriously miss them a lot.. Work wasn't as fun and same as before when they left.. They are incredibly fun, enjoyable to work with, efficient, hardworking and seriously take responsibility in work!!

Cave of the Winds admission ticket that costs about 11USD and you will able to feel and touch the gust of the waterfall.. Thumb up!! As usual, be prepared to get really wet!!

Wow, time flies... It is already my last day working as ride operator at Morey Pier - Adventure Pier...

Well, ride operator is not my primary job and the time spent in Adventure Pier are short yet I have a chance to get to know a lot of wonderful and interesting friends... I am very happy and I will definitely misses them...

最近心情有点低落，心里有很多的无奈，不知所措。。。

我现在所忙碌的一切到底为事业？为金钱？为爱情？为学业？为家庭？还是为自己？

昨晚在游乐园玩了很久又大吃雪糕，不停的自暴自弃。。。想以雪糕来麻木心中的低落，最后却醉酒消愁愁更愁，只会浪费食物，和跟自己过不去!!!

这一点都不值得！我真的好傻~！

回家的路途中，突然下起雨，我们跑到一家糖果店避雨。。。望着一片黑漆漆的天空，刮着寒冷的风，一滴又一滴的雨滴从天空落下来，仿佛是我的心在哭泣•空气中充满着我的压抑，低落，黑暗及无奈。。。

我真希望这倾盆大雨能把它带走。。。

但也多亏了这场雨，让我吃到了免费糖果，让我能在雨中奔跑。。。和好友在雨中忘我的跑着，到家时大家都湿淋淋的，气喘吁吁，但顿时我忘记了一切低落情绪。。。真不可思议！

雨过天晴, 所以我相信雨后终会是晴天，灿烂的彩虹永远在雨后出现！我真的会等到那一天的，一定会！

27 May 2010 - After Lifeguard Test

I had received my results for this semester.. I did really badly for it, my GPA had dropped from 3.22 to 2.94.. Shake head.. Next semester I have to work even harder to achieve GPA 3+.. No more slacking and have to revise and do my tutorial questions.. Earlier I called my dad and confess to him, although I pass everything but still it is no no for me..

Apart from that, yesterday I had my lifeguard written test and hurray we are now officially shallow lifeguard.. I will start my lifeguard job as my primary and ride operator as my secondary job.. I will start be really busy and stressful soon.. Enjoy the photos that I took in Morey's Piers..

I remember Robin asked me how I survived in US? I told him that it is the same on how he survived in Singapore.. Haha..

I am kinda greatful that our accommodation got few great chef, we exchange ideas and also helping one another to cook great foods for our group of friends.. It is so fun to cook in here.. Soon I will be working as lifeguard as my primary job and ride operator as my secondary job and I will have lesses time to cook and time for myself.. I just hope my working bond faster end and get to start my real vacation!! Chin Hwee, you can do it!! =D

Today is my first day off and we took a trip to Atlantic city which is about 3hrs distance from my place..

不知道是巧合还是。。。

乘坐十九小时的飞机，背井离乡，望着窗外看着那一片蓝蓝的天空，心里有一万个依依不舍。。。

坐在我的身旁的朋友都十分期待,而我,脑海里只有挂念。。。不知到期待的心跑到哪了？手里拿着遥控器，不知所措，只好按一按，却让我发现一首让我感慨万千的一首歌。。。我一直重复收听它！

我的依依不舍却渐渐的抚平了。。。

脑海里却仿佛出现到一种熟悉深刻的感觉。。。一幕又一幕的回忆, 无数的快乐，灿烂的笑容，无话不谈的晚上与简讯等等。。。十分挂念！！！一首能让我认识到一个终身难忘的朋友。。。

It an amazing opportunity to have a chance to come to US for work and travel program.. I am gladful to my dad who supported me for this trip and also I had 2 classmates joining with me at least I won't feel lonely overseas..

It is a brand new experience and challenge for me.. I not just here for holiday but I also had bond with Morey Piers for 3mths summer vacation job..

To begin with, I had 4hrs of flight to Taiwan and then another 14hrs flight to New Jersey.. Followed by staying overnight at the airport for 9hrs and finally 6hrs ride to Wildwood.. Well, everything had to be on schedule..

Everything here are kinda new to me, the food, the culture, the people, the temperature, the road, the environment and etc.. The first challenge was the weather, the temperature could be as cold as 6 degree.. I am a person who are afraid of cold weather.. And next challenge was the timezone, in here it was 12hrs different compared to Singapore.. We all had to recover from the jet lag..

The things here are relatively expensive and most of the times, we cook our very meals.. Well, it is kinda fun cooking with all my friends.. Sharing groceries and assigning tasks to one another.. I just had finished my 2 days of orientation and will be starting work tomorrow..

How the work like? I not too sure yet but just stay tune.. Enjoy the photos that I had shoot during my trips in US.. Sit back and enjoy..

Today is Mother's day!! How do you celebrate with your mum?

Ever since my mum and dad are divorced, I only realised that how great and fortunate to have my mum in the house, doing housechords for us, making delicious homecook meals, tugging us to bed, listening to our woes and etc.. These are the things I misses the most..

When I was young, my mum is always so strict to me and I had no ideas why until.. I was grown up.. It was all for my own good.. Thank you mum!

Today is a special day for my mum, Mother's day..

My mum is one tough lady who is also very supportive.. She had one thing that I admired the most, the unconditional sacrificing her love for her children.. Giving all her best she could for her children.. Even myself still not able to do that.. Thumb up for my mum!!

Apart from that today I am actually kinda disappointed with myself because I couldn't treat my mum for dinner.. Sigh!!! The most I could do was to chip in money with my sister and buy her a birthday cake..

As the elder, I am very pathetic right?

I just hope I could faster graduate and have my career then able to support myself financially and it is my turn to take care of her.. Mum, I love you!!

Ikhsan had been complaining how come never asked him out before.. And there we had!!! Haha.. During first day, he was super super late!! =P

I met up with Ken, Evelyn, Ikhsan and Kuen Gnee for K session at Toa Payoh.. And manage to see multi-talented Ikhsan who really can sings super well in Chinese and English songs.. Thumb up!

Time really passed like an blink of an eye..

Before I knew it, I already had been away from home for about 10 months (excluding weekend and public holidays).. Time to say goodbye to my 2nd home and move back to 1st home.. Haha..

While packing my stuffs and get ready to head back home, I realized how much I will miss my room and my roomie.. The bond that I had with my roomie and the fond memories that I had during my stay in hostel will always stays with me..

I am very lucky to have Joel as my roomie.. Well, with him and me together, I could said our room are the most presentable and acceptably clean!!! Don't you think so Ruishan? =P

Strangely the little things such as late night men talk, jokes, debating of thoughts and ideas, swimming, jogging, motivating and encouraging each others are the little things that I misses the most.. (Opps, Ruishan don't envy me!! Haha..)

All things have to come to an end.. But the end is the new beginning..

I remember Joel wrote "Today shall not be the last.. Roomie no more but still buddies.." I will bear that in mind.. Thank you Joel!!

To sum up, it is a wonderful life time experience..

Hurray, finally my exams are over!!!

Honestly speaking, I did badly for it but whatever it is, the most important is I had given in my best!! So I will have no regrets when the results are out!!

After the paper, we had a mini triple celebrations.. Yes, you did not heard wrongly!! Triple celebrations!!

That's triple celebration!! Haha.. We went to Marina Square Waraku to have japanese food for our dinner.. A day to let our hair down and stay chill and relax..
